Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) has registered a 43% increase in overall sales for the month of April 2017 as over the corresponding period of last year. Suzuki Motorcycles clocked a domestic sales figure of 36,289 units for April 2017 as against 25,343 units sold in the previous calendar year.
For export markets, it has increased sales from 5290 units from the previous calendar year to 7535 units this April. Cumulatively, the company has recorded a sustained growth in its overall sales from 30,648 units in April 2016 to 43,842 units in April 2017.
The robust growth momentum has enabled Suzuki to cross the 3 million unit mark and maintain a consistent double digit growth in sales.
