India Yamaha Pvt. Ltd. launched their much awaited mid class
street fighter FZ 25 for a price of Rs. 1,19,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). The bike
is powered by a 249cc, single cylinder, air cooled engine. It also features LED
headlamps and tail lamps. Keeping in tune with the legacy of the FZ series in
India, Yamaha has brought out the FZ 25 with a DNA and character to match the
lineup.
At the heart of the FZ 25 is a newly designed engine which is
capable of producing 20.6bhp at 8000rpm and 20Nm of torque at 6000rpm. It will
be offered in three colours - Ballistic Blue, Warrior White and Knight Black.
The company will begin deliveries in a few months from now. Yamaha has also
ensured that this model along with their upcoming models will conform to BSIV
emission standards.
This bike features an LCD instrument cluster which gets a digital
speed-o-meter, tachometer, fuel gauge and clock. It will also be able to
display two separate trip meters as well as instant and average fuel economy.
In terms of efficiency, the motorcycle is capable of returning 43kms to the
litre and gets a fuel tank which can hold 14 litres of petrol.
