After a long wait of more than two years, LML plans seem to be falling in place. The iconic brand of yesteryears, has received CMVR certification for its upcoming electric scooter LML Star. The certification validates the LML Star’s compliance with stringent quality and safety standards, reinforcing the brand’s reputation for delivering high-performance, sustainable mobility solutions.
LML, a several decades old two-wheeler brand was bought over a couple of years back by Yogesh Bhatia controlled SG Corporate Mobility Pvt Ltd. The brand was purchased from Kanpur based Singhania family. Bhatia had immediately unveiled three concept two wheelers at an event in Gurugram.

Yogesh Bhatia, CEO & Managing Director of SG Corporate Mobility Pvt.Ltd is someone who has been fulfilling the dreams and aspirations of the masses. From being a seller of SIM cards, branded mobile phones and electrical appliances in 1995 when he started his business, he gradually moved into manufacturing affordable mobile phones and LCD television sets.
One thing led to another and the company launched an electric two wheeler under the name Detel Easy in the year 2020 for around Rs 20,000, again for the masses. In 2021, he not only launched a revamped electric bike under the name Detel Easy Plus, but also announced a big ticket acquisition. He acquired the LML brand, the erstwhile manufacturer of IC engine scooters. With that he set up another company LML Electric Pvt Ltd.

Coming to year 2025, the LML Star will have a range of 203 km per charge being the highest in India and a peak power output of 5.87 kW, delivering a smooth ride at a top speed of 90 km/h. Yogesh Bhatia, MD and CEO of LML, stated “Securing the CMVR Certificate for the LML Star demonstrates that we meet the highest industry standards in both technology and safety. With its advanced features, premium design, and top-tier performance, the LML Star is set to redefine what electric mobility in India can be.”
With a modern, premium moto scooter look, the Star boasts a dual-tone body, 14-inch wheels, and a digital display. It also offers features like a swappable battery and a wireless charger, catering to the needs of today’s tech-savvy riders.
For safety, the scooter is equipped with advanced features such as a tyre pressure monitoring system, hill hold assist, reverse mode, and ABS.
