Hyderabad based Fabulous Beyond
Motors India Private Limited (FAB Motors), will soon be importing custom made motorcycles
from Regal Raptor Motorcycle. Fab Motors is a subsidiary of the FAB group,
which was mainly into wholesale trading of furniture and multi-brand electronic
products. The company recently forayed into retail business and appointed
celebrity sportsperson Sania Mirza as its brand ambassador.
Fab Motors will be introducing three
new range of bikes in the country, beginning with Hyderabad. These include DD 350 E, Daytona and Bobber. The price of the motorcycles will be Rs 2.96 lakh,
Rs 3.23 lakh and Rs 3.33 lakh respectively in Hyderabad.
The high-end motorcycles from the
Raptor stable will, however, be available only after two years. Mohammed Gulam Shahriq, Managing Director of
Fab Group, spoke to Motown India from Hyderabad and noted that “in six months time
these bikes will be available across India”.
He informed that his company has
exclusive manufacturing rights for India and eight neighbouring countries --
Sri lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Yemen and Pakistan.
In a press note, it was mentioned
that the DD 350 E can be modified into police bike by fixing few accessories.
Incidentally, all Regal Raptor
motorcycles have been designed by world renowned motorcycle designer Johnny Pag
and the brand has been performing steadily in the motorcycle industry. Regal
Raptor has found its forte in producing highly specialised, quality motorcycles
by focusing on their Chopper, Cruiser, Sports and Custom motorcycles.
Shahriq informed that the three
motorcycles will be imported in CBU condition.
The bikes, he said will be initially imported from China as these are
manufactured by Lifeng Group of China. The Lifeng Group was formed in the year
1962 by Horse Zhang. The Regal Raptor is one of the biggest manufacturers of
Cruisers, Choppers etc. and it is doing very well in the entire Western, Arab
and Asian countries, noted Dr. M.G. Jeelani, Chairman of the Group. Soon it
will be available in cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore,
Chennai, Kolkata, Trivandrum, Pune etc, he added.
Shahriq said his company is in
the process of setting up a production facility in Telangana to manufacture Fab
Regal Raptor motorcycles. This bike plant is likely to come with an investment
of Rs 1000crore. The exact location of
the plant is yet to be finalised.
It was in 1998 that the Lifeng
Group Co of China became the pioneer in Chopper model motorcycles. In 1999 the
company launched the first 250cc, two cylinders and water cooling engine in
China and in 2003 it launched the first Cruiser model motorcycles in China. In
2009 it successfully developed an 800cc engine.
