Raj Banerji has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Apollo Tyres Ltd. He takes over from Sunam Sarkar. Sarkar was recently redesignated as the President & Chief Business Officer of the company and posted to Singapore. Raj’s last assignment was with one of India’s largest private companies, where he worked as Chief Financial Officer for the Refining business. Prior to that, he had a 20 year career with BP (formerly British Petroleum) in various leadership roles in Oil Exploration, Commodity Trading, Marketing and Refining. With a total of 24 years of working experience in Europe, Middle East, and Asia, Raj has handled key functions such as Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Planning & Performance Management & Risk Management. Raj will report to Neeraj Kanwar, Vice Chairman & MD, Apollo Tyres Ltd. Kanwar said, “We are on the cusp of our next phase of growth globally. Having a person like Raj join our global team at this crucial time, with a strong international experience, will provide further impetus to this growth, and at the same time, contribute to the organisation’s overall financial health and stability.”
