Nitin Gadkari’s road safety directive strikes a chord with helmet industry
Nissan Motor India has reported sales in India of 3,158 vehicles in the month of December 2014, an increase of 23.3 pc versus 2,561 units a year earlier. The company registered sales of 35,047 units so far in FY14, marking a growth of 45.5 pc over the same period last year. This was stated in a press release issued by the company.
Nissan Motor India Private Ltd. (NMIPL) is a 100 pc subsidiary of Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. Japan. The company was incorporated in 2005. Nissan together with its global alliance partner Renault set up a manufacturing plant and a Research & Development Centre near Chennai. Nissan in India has a portfolio of two brands, Nissan and Datsun. The company recently opened bookings for the Datsun GO+, an MPV that would be launched in the country in January 2015.
