Porsche has a new home in South India’s growing market for exclusive cars. With the opening of Porsche Centre Chennai in the upmarket area of Anna Salai, Porsche is set to provide customers across the Tamil Nadu State with an unparalleled experience through this state-of-the-art facility. Along with New Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad, this becomes the overall fourth Porsche Centre in India and the second in the southern part of India. The company’s official Indian importer will also be opening new showrooms in Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Bangalore and Kochi. The German super-luxury car is also aiming to enhance its sales nearly five times this year on the back of inprecedented demand for its models. “This year Porsche is looking at further expansions into the Indian market with Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Bangalore and Kochi to opened in the near future”, added Ashish Chordia, Chief Executive of Precision Cars India Private Limited. He added,“ We look forward to clock around 500 units this calendar year, up from 131 units sold last year. The order book position till mid February is 217 units." Construction of this superbly located showroom started in April 2010. The facility offers a 2,800 square feet showroom space with five sales consultants being permanently available for visitor enquiries. In addition, a 4,000 square feet service area will ensure an uncompromising After Sales service experience. Now completed, the site is home to the entire Porsche product range, including the latest arrival – the new Porsche Cayenne. With the opening of Porsche Centre Chennai, Porsche continues with its strategy of expanding its presence across India, enabling the car manufacturer to offer its customers a high-end product with leading service standards.
