Though
Maruti Suzuki continues to lead the pack of four-wheel passenger vehicle
companies in India when it comes to December 2021 domestic sales, its numbers
too fell for the month along with several other companies that have announced their
results by January 02, 2021. Results of several companies including heavy
weights like Kia Motor India, Toyota Kirloskar, etc are expected in a day or
so.
The
only silver lining to the depressing December 2021 domestic sales is the
performance of Tata Motors. The company sold 35299 units in December 2021,
pipping Hyundai Motor India to grab the second position in sales after Maruti Suzuki.
Among the worst performers was MG Motor India that was available to sell only 2578
vehicles in the month as compared to 4010 units n December 2020.
