ZF Friedrichshafen AG, a global leader in driveline and chassis technology as well as active and passive safety technology, participated in Excon 2017 an International Construction Equipment and Construction Technology Trade Fair held from December 12 to 16, 2017 in Bengaluru. ZF exhibited diverse range of product offerings for construction machinery and material handling at the show.
Construction machinery
ZF has strong technical expertise & depth in developing and producing drives and axles for construction machinery. This year at Excon, ZF showcased its Ecomix II (CML 12), new transmission for transit mixer vehicles up to 12 cubic meter capacity. ZF mixer transmissions are fuel efficient due to their durability, robustness and lightweight. Additionally, driveline technology for wheel loaders were also on display.
Electric drives
ZF eTRAC GPE 25 is a drive system for compact off-highway vehicles, trailers and auxiliary equipment. The well-proven ZF driveline system for electric forklifts is now optimized and available for compact equipment. Additionally driveline technology for material handling and electrical pallet trucks were displayed at the ZF booth.
Construction tippers
Ride comfort in commercial vehicles is considerably enhanced by suspension technology and cabin damping. At the booth on display was the ZF cab dampers which provide greater safety, comfort, and stability. Additionally, there were products on suspension technology like torque rods, ball joints, axial tie rods which were on display.
“Excon India was the perfect platform for us to showcase our well established power-shift driveline technology for construction machinery, reducing emissions significantly and fulfilling the new TIER 4 emission norms already today. Manufacturing axles and transmissions in Coimbatore, we are also committed to “Make in India”. On top of this, we wanted to talk about Intelligent Mechanical Systems and how ZF is able to enhance existing mechanical drivelines with electrified components, assistance- or safety functions like GPS, radar, sensor and camera systems. This is how our systems expertise will enable vehicles to see>think>and act”, says Alexander Eisner, Head of Product Communications for Off-Highway Systems at ZF Friedrichshafen AG.
Commenting on the occasion Suresh KV, Country Head ZF India said, “It gave us great pleasure to be displaying ZF’s top class technology for construction tippers, construction machinery and material handling in one of South Asia’s largest construction equipment exhibition. ZF is a serious player in the Indian market & we have been able to make the best of our proximity to customers with steadily increasing localization content and working closely with the Indian supplier base to meet ZF global quality standards for both the domestic and export markets. This year we hoped to get the best of our innovations on display to tap on the high potential growth market.”
