Eberspaecher Suetrak’s new site in Bangalore was officially opened. At the reception, a large number of customers and partners were also able to take a look at production and the testing facilities for the bus air-conditioning systems being manufactured for the Indian market. “With the new site in Bangalore we are extending our service and supply management in India in a targeted manner, as many of our customers and suppliers are also based here,” said Dr. Leonhard Vilser, Eberspaecher CEO for vehicle heating systems, at the opening of Eberspaecher Suetrak Bus Climate Control Systems India Pvt. Ltd. The official opening, accompanied by a ritual ceremony, took place following the move into the new site at the beginning of the year. The guests, over 200 representatives from all the company’s well-known partners, appeared particularly impressed by their glimpse of the modern manufacturing and testing systems. In Bangalore, among other products, type AC 353, AC 136 and AC 310 roof air-conditioning units are manufactured for the Indian bus market. In addition, Eberspaecher Suetrak also produces split AC units in the new approximately 2,800-square metre plant and can thus offer its customers the complete portfolio for bus air-conditioning. “Thanks to our highly efficient production facility we can now respond even quicker and more flexibly to demands in the rapidly growing Indian market and further strengthen our position as a leading manufacturer of bus air-conditioning units,” explains Kanwal Preet Singh, Director Eberspaecher Suetrak Bus Climate Control Systems India Pvt. Ltd. The Eberspaecher Group took over the Indian bus air-conditioning business of Carrier Corp. (USA) back in June 2010. By taking this step, Eberspaecher Suetrak has also positioned itself in India as an all-inclusive supplier for heating and cooling in the bus market.
