Eberspaecher Suetrak Bus Climate Control Systems India Pvt. Ltd. is to relocate to new headquarters in Bangalore in January 2011. Not only administration, the production department too will be starting work in the new plant to provide a local source of supply to meet the demand for bus climate control systems in the rapidly expanding Indian market. In Bangalore, Eberspaecher Suetrak will be producing roof AC units as well as split AC units on an area of around 2,800 square metres, offering Indian customers a full range of bus air-conditioning systems. This new facility in Southern India is of strategic importance for the company, India being one of the world's fasting growing markets for bus AC systems. "Our products make us leaders in the market for bus climate control systems in India. Our objective is to steadily grow our market share in India over the coming years," explains Joachim Tosstorff, General Manager of Eberspaecher Suetrak. "Many of our customers – and suppliers as well – are based in Southern India. By relocating our Indian headquarters we can now be a competent and strong local partner offering top quality and service for optimum convenience and all types of bus AC systems," adds Kanwal Preet Singh, Director of Eberspaecher Suetrak Bus Climate Control Systems India Pvt. Ltd. As far as production and sales, the company will be offering servicing and repairs, technical advice and training for customers. The company's 50 employees in India will be supported by Eberspaecher Suetrak's German head office in Renningen. The German HQ has worked closely together with its Indian colleagues right from the planning stage, and has supported them in both the process as a whole and in the transfer of knowledge for the new production site. In June 2010 the Eberspaecher Group acquired the Indian bus AC business from Carrier Corp. (USA) with its head office at Gurgaon 30 km south of the capital New Delhi. The move positions Eberspaecher Suetrak as a one-stop shop for heating and cooling in the Indian bus market.
