Nitin Gadkari’s road safety directive strikes a chord with helmet industry
Audi India has set several records in terms of sales of its cars in India. It not only clocked a best-ever monthly sales (1404 units for March 2014), it also clocked a best-ever quarterly sales of 2740 units (Jan-Mar ‘14) and a best-ever financial year sales of 10126 units (FY13/14).
According to a company statement, Audi India has become the first luxury car manufacturer in the country to achieve the double feat of crossing sales of 10,000 units in a financial year as well as in a calendar year. The company hopes to have 40 dealerships in place by end of 2014.
The German luxury car manufacturer has also announced that much awaited Audi A3 sedan will be launched later this year. Audi models available in India include the A4 and S4 sedans, the A6 sedan and S6 saloon, the A7 Sportback. A8L, the Q3, Q5 and Q7 SUVs, the RS 5, RS 7 Sportback, TT coupe and R8.
