PUNE: Tata AutoComp Systems Limited, India’s leading automotive components conglomerate unveiled state of the art future automotive technologies on the occasion of its 15th Anniversary. R Gopalakrishnan, Chairman, Tata AutoComp Systems Limited and R S Thakur, ED & CEO Tata Autocomp Systems Limited introduced a range of innovative solutions across Interiors and Plastics, Seating Systems, Engine Cooling Systems, Mirrors and Command Control Systems, Stampings and Assemblies, Automotive batteries and Suspension systems for heavy commercial vehicles.

The Tata AutoComp tech show displayed advanced technology both homegrown and from global alliances. The product range on display were high end seating systems for cars as well as commercial vehicles, various interior parts like the cockpit and door panels having better fit, finish and aesthetics, sheet metal components that would reduce the weight of the vehicle, parts made of composites, patented radiator designs, solutions for the electric and hybrid vehicles, advanced mechanism solutions – for seat sliding, recline, Height Adjust
The seating systems that were unveiled are multi-function powered front seat, fold flat co-passenger front seat, modular front seat structure, APSLC front seat structure, rear seat with slouch feature, third row-open seating, luxury bus seating, seating foam – comfort and sustainability solutions, head restraints – comfort and safety solutions.
As far as mirrors and Command Control Systems are concerned, the company displayed advance communication, rear vision system, gear shifter & parking brakes and washer system. The products under stamping assemblies are cross car beam with remote laser wielding, innovation in crash management, front bumper beam with pedestal protection, innovation in inner door frame, press hardened door frame, pedal box development in case of crash, vehicle clutch assistance, innovation in lower control arm design, new design proposals in front and rear suspension parts
While engine cooling systems: like radiator for hybrid power train vehicle, EGR Cooler for E-4 and E-5 compliance, patented solutions which help reduce weight were showcased along with interiors & plastics like laser scouring, in mould decoration, in mould graining, thermo forming (Positive Vacuum Lamination), selective Positive lamination, fabric back injection molding, woodstock forming, plastic fender (metal to plastic conversion), plastic tailgate module, long fiber technology.
Further automotive batteries like high performance lithium battery for electric vehicle,
ETS Battery for ISS, ECD Battery – recycled battery, etc were also shown along with suspension systems for heavy commercial vehicles like cow horn suspension system, parasteer suspension system and HUV suspension system.
