Toeing the line of its compatriots like VW, Mercedes Benz and BMW, Audi India has finally launched its pre-owned car business – Audi Approved: plus – which will offer potential and existing customers with attractive deals. Under this vertical, the German luxury carmaker will be reportedly plans to keep around 10 models on display at selected dealerships. The used Audis, which will be no older than 4-5 years, is estimated to be priced between Rs. 15 lakh and Rs. 20 lakh. The cars will be technically conditioned to Audi standards (free of defects) including service support. The company will also offer financing, insurance and 30 days exchange policy. Audi is expecting the pre-owned car business to contribute about 10-20pc of their new cars sales in India. Rivals Mercedes and BMW have already commenced their pre-owned operations in India so Audi is a bit late to the party. It’s to be mentioned that its rivals BMW and Mercedes are already running their pre-owned business known as ‘Premium Selection’ and ‘Proven Exclusivity’ respectively. “With rising incomes and growing aspirations, demand for pre-owned Audi cars has also witnessed a significant increase in the recent past. With the increasing desire of consumers to upgrade and change their cars more frequently than ever before, a professional used car programme is the need of the hour. Audi Approved: plus programme is the perfect solution for all those Audi enthusiasts who want to upgrade and own the sportiness, sophistication and progressiveness that Audi vehicles stand for,” said Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India.
