Dr. Jacques Perez is MD of Lanxess India

Effective May 1, 2014, Dr. Jacques Perez has assumed the position of Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Lanxess India Private Limited and will act as Country Representative of Lanxess in India. This is in addition to his earlier responsibility as a Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Lanxess India Private Limited since April 2013.

According to a company statement, backed by a rich multi-cultural experience of over 25 years, Dr. Perez worked for the pharmaceutical industry (Hoechst Group, Sanofi Aventis Group) in Europe, South America and Asia. He held key positions in marketing and sales, project management, internal audit, supply chain and finance. He has been with Lanxess since July 2008 as Chief Financial Officer of Lanxess Elastomeros do Brasil S.A in Brazil.

Dr. Perez succeeds Dr. Joerg Strassburger who had been the Managing Director and Country Representative of the company for the past nine years. The Board of Directors of Lanxess India took this opportunity to convey their gratitude to Dr. Strassburger for his valuable contributions and successful leadership during his tenure in India and wished him all the best for a new chapter in his life.
