Safexpress launches Logistics Park at Pithampur.

Safexpress, a leading supply chain and logistics firm, has launched a Logistics Park at Pithampur. The park is spread out over an area of 75,000 sq feet. The Logistics Park is strategically located on NH 3.

Safexpress CMD Pawan Jain noted that this new park will help raise the standards of supply chain & logistics in the region. He pointed out that Pithampur is a major hub for automobile manufacturing Industry and that a lot of vehicles-producing companies of India have their factories in Pithampur. The industrial area also boasts of both large and small scale industries. Apart from automotive industries, he said, Pithampur is home to various other industries like food processing, chemical processing, distilleries, manufacturing and textile industries.

“A large number of Multinationals and Indian companies have their manufacturing base in this region. Therefore, it made a lot of sense to set up a Logistics Park here,” Jain remarked.

“Located strategically on the Agra-Bombay Road on National Highway 3, the facility will fulfill the warehousing needs of companies located in and around Indore. This Logistics Park will enable us to provide clients with cutting-edge trans-shipment as well as 3PL services,” Jain said.

Vineet Kanaujia, VP–Marketing, Safexpress said that in the GST era, most companies will be adopting newer business models and supply chain models, since warehousing will no longer be taxed driven. Most firms will resort to outsourcing their supply chain & logistics needs to a 3PL service provider like Safexpress, while keeping their own warehousing infrastructure to minimal levels. “Keeping these factors in mind, we are driving a 3PL revolution in India by creating these ultra-modern Logistics Parks,” he said.

Kanaujia further pointed out that the Logistics Park at Pithampur will be operational 24x7, 365 days in a year to provide ‘time-definite’ deliveries. “Due to our non-stop operations, we will be providing the fastest transit time for deliveries all across India to over 600 destinations from Pithampur,” he said.

Kanaujia explained that his company had invested in installing high-tech equipment at the park. The dedicated docks in the Logistics Park provide an uninterrupted and unidirectional flow of inbound and outbound goods. The park has a floor load capacity of 4 metric tonnes per square meter. It also has a truck docking area width of over 60 feet.  “To make our Logistics Park eco-friendly, we have taken special go-green initiatives by investing in rainwater harvesting and developing special green zones,” he mentioned.
