More
than 200 automobile as well as auto components companies will display their
products, while there would be live test demonstrations, training sessions,
panel discussion and test track demonstrations of vehicles and technologies at
the NuGen Mobility Summit-2019 that begins at Manesar on the outskirts of the
capital city on Nov 27, 2019 for three days.
During
the event, future vehicle technologies such as connected mobility, autonomous
vehicles, electric mobility, alternative fuels, intelligent transportation
systems, hydrogen fuel cells, hydrogen IC engines, vehicle dynamics, advanced
materials and laboratories associated with lightweighting and re-cycling trials
will also be shown.
The
NuGen Mobility Summit-2019 will be organised by the International Centre of
Automotive Technology (ICAT), Manesar, a division of NATRIP Implementation
Society (NATIS) under the Department of Heavy Industries, Government of India.
Keeping
in mind that new generation mobility shall be Green, safe and affordable, the
theme of this event has been setup around new generation topics like
e-mobility, hydrogen mobility, connected vehicles, ITS etc.
This
three-day conference will be the largest automotive technology event in the
country so far. Automotive technology experts from 15 countries including India
will be presenting more than 120 technical research papers in this event. This
conference will be held from November 27 to November 29, 2019.
Dinesh
Tyagi, Director of ICAT, stated that the NuGen Mobility Summit 2019 will be the
first in a series of the conference organised by ICAT. He noted that its
benefits will be found in finding suitable alternative to IC engine running for
about 125 years in the country and the world.
The
conference will be inaugurated by Union Minister of Road Transport and Shipping
Nitin Jairam Gadkari and Union Minister of State for Finance Anurag Singh Thakur as the Guest of Honour..
On the second day, chief guest of the conference will be the Union Minister of
Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Environment, Forest and Information
Broadcasting, Prakash Keshav Javadekar. The programme will be concluded by
Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries Arjun Ram Meghwal, along with
dozens of senior officers and experts at the level of Secretary and Director of
the concerned Ministries who will also participate in the discussion.
Tyagi
informed that ICAT was set up with an investment of about Rs 1200 crore by the
Government of India to encourage design and development along with R&D in
the country. He said that today there is a great demand for eco-friendly and
energy saving technology for which large scale research is being conducted.
Tyagi further noted that an international
level infrastructure has been set up at Manesar with more than 11000Sqm
exhibition area and a modern auditorium with 850 seats and an excellent banquet
hall which can be used by industry in and around Delhi NCR for different
conferences.
