The
millennials are still brooding, or so it seems as September domestic sales of
total passenger vehicles slipped by as much as (-) 27.1per cent. The company
sold a total of 110454 units in September 2019 as compared to 151512 units in
the corresponding month last year.
The mid size segment where the company only
has the Ciaz car, sales fell by (-) 72.5 per cent to 1715 units (6246 units).
The mini segment where it has cars like Alto and the old Wagon R, registered
sales of 20,085 units (34,971). This was a fall of (-) 42.6per cent.
Maruti
Suzuki India Limited sold a total of 122,640 units in September 2019. This
includes 112,500 units in domestic market, 2,952 units of domestic OEM sales
and 7,188 units of exports.
