Skoda Auto India inaugurated an advanced Solar Power Generation Project at its manufacturing facility in Aurangabad. The solar project has a capacity of 980 KW. This unique car port structure will cover 30 per cent of the plant’s annual energy consumption. The solar panel with higher efficiency will generate 1,475 MWh of power per annum thereby contributing a significant 922 ton per annum reduction in carbon dioxide emissions from the production process.
Gurpratap Boparai, Managing Director, Skoda Auto India noted that the installation of the Advanced Solar Power Generation Project at the production facility in Aurangabad reinforces the company’s commitment towards building a green future.
